What’s your skin type? Coupling products for your skin type + creating the perfect routine.

Updated: Aug 6

As we all know, perfect radiant skin does not happen overnight. Trust me I know 😂, it’s a work in progress. Putting together the perfect skincare routine can come with what feels like a bottomless pit of trial and error to determine what works best for your skin type. First things first though, thats determining your skin type and then build from there.

Below is the five most common skin types

  • Normal skin: This type of skin tends to have a balanced T-zone (the area of the face shaped like a “T” that includes the forehead, nose, and chin), meaning it is generally clear of breakouts or dryness.

  • Oily skin: Oily skin is characterized by excess oil production, primarily in the T-zone. Skin may look shiny or feel greasy to the touch, and it may be more prone to blemishes and breakouts.

  • Dry skin: The opposite of oily skin, people with dry skin produce less oil than normal. Skin may be flaky or itchy, with a dull overall complexion, and fine lines and wrinkles will be more visible.

  • Combination skin: People with combination skin have dryness in some areas (typically around the cheeks) and oiliness in others (generally in the T-zone area). Combination skin may become both dehydrated and irritated.

  • Sensitive skin: Signs of sensitive skin may vary, from redness and burning to breakouts, itching, and inflammation. Because certain products and ingredients can help while others may exacerbate the problem, this skin type often requires a bit more care and diligence when it comes to choosing the right products to use.

Now that you’ve determined your skin type, it’s best to start with three basic products and build from there.

First, start with a cleanser. Our cucumber daily cleanser is formulated with vitamins and white willow. It is great yet gentle for washing away dirt, impurities, and dead skin cells. Second is a toner. There are many benefits of BCSC fresh tea face mist toners . It will help minimize the appearance of pores. When pores appear smaller, your skin has a smoother, more polished look.

•It protect your skin from elements.

  • Temporarily tightens skin.

  • It's super refreshing.

  • Soothes skin.

  • Helps remove oil and makeup.

  • Aids skin in retaining moisture.

  • Evens skin tone and discoloration

Third, your skin benefits from a daily moisturizer for hydration and regeneration. BCSC Hydrating facial moisturizer is lightweight and perfect for during the day.

With aloe-infused water and Hyaluronic Acid, blended with Vitamins E, C, and B, this creates a powerful complex to lock in moisture.

Once you have the basics, then build onto your skincare products such as exfoliating, cc cerums, etc.

Remember, be good to your skin! You’ll wear it for the rest of your life!
